Ensitech is proud to announce that it has been named a finalist in the 2010 Premier’s Exporter of the Year Awards.
The finalists were announced at a function hosted by the Australian Institute of Export in Sydney on 16 September. Now in their 48th year, the awards each year attract scores of applications from growing and successful businesses.
Ensitech was recognised for its success in developing export markets for its TIG Brush Stainless Steel Weld Cleaning System, a technology which enables stainless steel fabricators to clean welds and restore the steel's surface properties easily, safely and economically, avoiding the hazardous chemicals and time-consuming processes traditionally used for these tasks.
The TIG Brush is currently exported to New Zealand, UK and Ireland, and the Scandinavian and Nordic countries, with exports to other markets planned to follow in the near future.
In congratulating the finalists, the NSW Minister for Small Business, Frank Terenzini said, "This year, award finalists are represented by firms of all sizes and from all industry sectors; from agribusiness to manufacturing, mining services to software development, financial services, production companies, legal services and education providers. They all share one common purpose – a determination and passion to succeed internationally.
"The perseverance of our exporters is one of the reasons why Australia emerged relatively unscathed from the global financial crisis. Throughout the GFC, exporters proved themselves to be the unsung heroes of our strong performance, maintaining market share and employment levels."
NSW winners will be announced at an Awards Dinner to be held at Sydney's Star City on Thursday 28 October. and state winners will progress to the National Export Awards, to be judged and announced the following month.
