The new, non-dangerous TB-30ND weld cleaning solution from Ensitech has been subjected to independent laboratory analysis and hazardous components have been confirmed to be well below relevant Australian and European exposure limits.
The workplace hazards from the TIG Brush fumes can be attributed to phosphate, chromium, aluminium, sodium and nitrate, none of which was found to be present in quantities that could be expected to produce significant health hazards during normal operation with light-duty protective equipment.
The fumes generated during use of TB-30ND are mostly comprised of water vapour; approximately half of the fluid volume used is converted to steam during normal TIG Brush operation.
Classified as a non-dangerous good, the TB-30ND fluid has numerous advantages including reduced transport, storage, handling and disposal costs. It has been enthusiastically adopted in industries such as dairy and food manufacturing, which have particularly stringent regulations covering the use of toxic and caustic substances.
